Hewitt stops Henman as Brits' hopes dashed again

WIMBLEDON, England – Some empty beer cups and a stray Union Jack remained as the leftovers of lost hope on a grassy embankment known as Henman Hill on the Wimbledon grounds.

The Britons were gone, having filed toward the exits in a solemn march. With the chance to highlight the queen's golden jubilee at a major championship not won by a British man since 1936, Tim Henman could not tie up destiny yesterday.
