EXCEEDING loves to win races, is partial to this track and helps make it a very contentious event.
Long shot:Forest Phantom.
SECOND RACE – WIREDFORTWOTWENTY earned a big figure graduating at Hollywood Park in July and a similar effort today on turf vs. tougher foes would seem good enough for a repeat score.
MT. ORIENT, genuine and consistent, shortens up for his comeback but could fire a big shot fresh for a trainer who does very well with comebackers.
BELAFONTE should be a late threat under Bejarano although he's winless in five starts on turf.
Long shot: Stand Tall.
THIRD RACE – GREY CHATELAINE closed a big gap in her debut and stretches out to a distance she should enjoy. Gomez rides her back and the Dollase-trained filly should be along in time.
CENTURY PARK removes blinkers after finishing second in a photo in a good grass try recently. If she repeats that effort over the poly track, she'll be right there again.
PAMONA BALL showed promise in her debut and seems sure to improve a bunch stretching out for Harty.
Long shot: Silar Rules.
FOURTH RACE – SMOOCHER comes off a sharp score vs. tougher foes and this Mitchell-trained gelding will be tough right back with a similar effort today. Gomez stays aboard.
THE SUPPLY PROGRAM is sharp and dangerous while on the mandatory raise for new trainer Spawr. He should be running on late.
BRAVE SUN has the right closing style for this track and is worth using in the exotics.
Long shot: GLIMMERING PETE
FIFTH RACE – KAPTAIN KORDOUGH, second in both starts while earning good figures, seems ready to graduate and figures very tough if he can avoid trouble from the rail.

MR. INN ZONE has shown he can run a bit and may out finish the others.
Long shot: Unusual Smoke.
SIXTH RACE – CARSON'S COPPER earned a strong figure beating a softer field in gate to wire fashion and seems capable of repeating on the raise for new trainer Morey. He loves to win races and should control this race from gate to wire.
STORM BRAVE is taking a sharp drop in class and his best puts him right there.
SOUTH BAY SCOTY figures to be closing well and should at least get a piece of it.
Long shot: Dawn's Day.
SEVENTH RACE – DISTANT VICTORY bids for her fourth straight win while returning to the main track and shortening up to a mile. She packs a powerful late kick and should be able to wear down the speed late.
GOLDEN DOC A, freshened and training like her old self for Abrams, has plenty of back class and is strictly the one to beat.
MISS SINGHSIX beat a softer field in clever fashion, has trained well since, and should be a strong late factor once again.
Long shot: Czechers.
EIGHTH RACE – DETAILS R SKETCHY is bred to be quick, gets Gomez, and has trained like a runner for Gaines. In an open event, he seems as good as any.
PRINCEANDREW is showing speed in the morning for Baffert and looks cranked up for a big effort first crack out of the box.
GALAYO may want more distance for his best but this half-brother to Giacomo should be closing well and is worth watching for future reference.
Long shot: Moonraker.
NINTH RACE – BLUE CHAGALL is a group stakes winner from France and has trained like he's fit and ready for a winning effort in his U.S. debut for Canani. He can fire fresh and seems capable of producing the last run.
GIO PONTI, a winner of four of five career starts including the Virginia Derby, is the likely choice and strictly the one to beat.
NOWNOWNOW needed his effort in the La Jolla 'Cap and should be fitter and tighter today.
Long shot: Sky Cape.
TENTH RACE – JAMIE moves up two notches in class following a sharp score last month and with as steady work tab since seems primed for another huge try. Quinonez stays aboard for McAnally.
BEWITCHING BARTOK, genuine and consistent, is another double jumping in class and figures in the battle throughout.
WINNING TACTICS, second in his last pair, won't have to improve much to take it all.
Long shot: Idaho Joe.
Best bet: Jamie (10th).
