Highlights: Four graded stakes and eight ungraded ones in the seven programs from today through the close of the meeting one week from today . . . Saturday's Grade II Palomar has Solana Beach Handicap winner America's Friend and Del Mar Oaks runner-up Bel Air Sizzle among the nominees. Sunday's Grade II Derby will feature La Jolla winner Sky Cape and Eastern shipper Gio Ponti. Monday's Debutante and the Futurity a week from today will determine the 2-year-old female and male champion runners of the meeting.
Notable: Rafael Bejarano, with 38 wins, enters the final week with an eight-win lead in the rider standings after six wins last week. Joel Rosario (30), Tyler Baze (30) and Gomez (29) are running out of opportunities to catch up . . . Sadler's three-win week extended his total to 27 and the margin to 12 over Mitchell and Jeff Mullins and 13 over Doug O'Neill . . .
