GO GET IT: The Chargers just completed an enormously successful season. Congratulations to the whole Chargers family. The second season begins in two weeks, and all hands appear as ready and able as most players are this time of year. Two weeks to get healthy and start a three-week playoff for the ultimate football prize, the Lombardi Trophy. We, the fans, who have been with the Chargers through thick and mostly thin, have been waiting for 10 years for another chance at glory. We want it! We need it! Now go get it!
RICHARD ANAYA, San Diego
SWEETEST: The Bolts are 8-0 at home. That and home-field advantage through the AFC Championship Game. Hope Philip Rivers is OK. Enjoy the week off, everyone get healthy and go get the trophy!
BOB DISHON, Pacific Beach
TURF'S UP: Congratulations to the Chargers on their home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. I'm not sure who will benefit more from the extra week of rest, the players or the Qualcomm Stadium turf. Pretty embarrassing.

TAPED EVENT: Based on the turnaround in quarterback performance in (yesterday's) game, perhaps Chargers management should consider taping both of Philip Rivers' ankles at the start of each upcoming postseason game.
VINCENT ANDRUNAS, San Diego
200 AND COUNTING: A win is not just a win when it is No. 200 for coach Marty Schottenheimer. Kudos to him and all who made the season a memorable one . . . but the best is yet to come.
JOE JACOBS, San Diego
KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING: After all the attention paid to LT, Rivers and Shawne Merriman, it's great to see some of the Chargers' other stars saving the game against the feisty Cardinals. Michael Turner, Lorenzo Neal and Billy Volek kept the team's momentum going. Now the road to the Super Bowl runs through San Diego!
MARK ROGERS, Encinitas
AN ELITE CLUB: Marty Schottenheimer, you are about to join the “Monkey Off My Back Club,” which features recent inductees such as Dale Earnhardt, Phil Mickelson, John Elway, Steve Young, Roy Williams and Jim Boeheim. It's your turn, Marty. The time is nigh. You and the Lombardi Trophy were made for each other.
PAUL CONRAD, Clairemont
FANS' VOICE: Not only do we get to see three more Chargers games, we also get to read three more “Voices of the Fans.”
R. GRAF, San Diego
BALANCED: The Chargers have the best offensive player in the league (with an MVP trophy waiting in the wings) and the best defensive player in the NFL as well, yet it was the special teams that won it yesterday. This is why the Chargers are 14-2.
DAN TEISAN, Santee
REST IS GOOD: My heart sank when I saw LT and Rivers go down within a couple of plays of each other. Hopefully, neither is too serious and a couple of weeks' rest will restore everybody to full ability. Fortunately, the backups could start for a lot of teams, and the Chargers will be at home till the road trip in February. I'm concerned about the pass defense, but hopefully getting some D-linemen healthy will help the pressure. Only one sack?! Kurt Warner proved he's not done yet; he's always tough on the Bolts. I had the pleasure to meet Chuck Muncie in the parking lot and I took the opportunity to thank him for some wonderful Charger memories, and that gave me a great feeling to end the year. Go Bolts! Keep healthy, and keep winning, baby!
