Strasburg: no hits, 13 whiffs, no decision

San Diego State's Stephen Strasburg pitched seven no-hit innings yesterday and struck out 13 against one walk in the U.S. National (Collegiate) team's 5-2 win over Korea in the opening game of the FISU World Championships in the Czech Republic.

Strasburg, whose strikeout total was one off the national team record, departed with a 1-0 lead, but he did not get the win because Korea tied the game in the eighth inning. Team USA scored four runs in the ninth for the victory, which makes the team 17-0 during its summer tour.
