LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles police say an off-duty officer has been stabbed at a San Pedro bar.

Lt. Mark Tappan says several people attacked the officer outside a bar called The Crimsin around midnight Friday.

Tappan says someone lunged at the officer and stabbed him as the fight was breaking up.

Police haven't identified the officer but they say he is in stable condition Saturday at a hospital.

Two people were taken into custody following the attack.
