TIP Academy to argue its case against closure

TIP Academy charter school will have a chance Tuesday to try to persuade the Encinitas Union School District not to shut it down.
The charter school, which just completed its second school year and now shares space at the campus of Ocean Knoll Elementary, has been accused of numerous violations of state law, including conflicts of interest, financial improprieties and repeated violations of the state's open meeting laws.
